I’m Jay Loacker, a social worker and counsellor offering trauma-informed support through counselling, embodied therapy, and yoga. My work is grounded in safety, connection, and nervous system regulation, drawing on over eight years’ experience in the family violence and sexual assault sector, alongside more than a decade of trauma-informed yoga teaching.
Counselling Services
Counselling & Embodied Healing
Offer counselling and embodied healing for individuals seeking support with emotional wellbeing, trauma, stress, and life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in both psychological and body-based practices.
Sessions are available: In person, online & by phone.

Nature-Based Therapy
For those who feel supported by the outdoors, I offer therapeutic sessions in nature. These sessions take place in outdoor settings and gently integrate movement, grounding, and reflective conversation.
Nature-based therapy can support regulation, insight, and connection, and may be offered where clinically appropriate.
Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma Recovery
Yoga
I offer therapeutic yoga for trauma recovery, a gentle, trauma-informed approach that supports healing through the body. These sessions are designed to help individuals reconnect with their bodies in ways that feel safe, respectful, and empowering.
Practices are slow, accessible, and choice-based, with a focus on – nervous system regulation, grounding and present-moment awareness and restoring a sense of agency and safety.
No prior yoga experience is required. Movements and practices are always optional and can be adapted to meet individual needs.
